DESCRIPTION:Greetings\,\n\nCascadia Grove will be holding our Samhain Ritual at Edge of The Circle Books on Sunday October 25th @ 5pm. All folk of good will are invited!\nWe will stream the ritual via zoom for those who are unable to attend in person.  This will depend on available bandwidth\, but we will do our best.\nParking and building info are at the end of this email.\n \nShane will be leading our rite. We will honor The Morrigan and remember our Sacred Dead.\n\n\nThere will be time in the middle of the ritual for personal offerings.  Offerings are appreciated. You may make an offering to any deity or spirit you wish.\nOfferings are optional.\n\nAfter the ritual\, we will have time for questions and discussion.  Cascadia Grove is committed to the inclusion of folks of good will.  With this in mind\, we ask everyone on this call to practice awareness and sensitivity in regards to conversations about sex\, race\, gender\, sexuality and other protected and marginalized groups.  We ask that this time be focused on subjects of Pagan interest.  Politics are filling people’s minds a lot these days but we ask that folks keep the conversation apolitical to encourage a purposeful space for matters Pagan. \n\nWe will do our best to make zoom streaming work\, but tech can be a fickle friend. Email us and we can give you more details. \nParking and location info:\n\nPlease be advised that there is a flight of stairs leading down to the ritual area.\n\nLocation and parking info:\nEdge of The Circle Books on Google Maps\n\nStreet parking is free on Sundays in this area.  Free parking is also available on the ground floor of the white-ish parking structure at the corner of 15th Ave NE and NE 45th St — about 2 blocks away from EoTC Books.\nHere is a shot of the locations.\n\n\n\nIf you would like to donate to help us pay for the Zoom account and sundries\, please go to adfcascadia.org \nMay you be healthy and well until we meet again by the hearth’s fire\,\nLee Morey\, Pursewarden\nShane Coineandubh\, Senior Druid\nCascadia Grove\, ADF 501(c)(3)\ncascadiaadf@gmail.com \n*Cascadia Grove supports White Mountain Druid Sanctuary\, a modern day interpretation of ancient Indo-European rituals and practices located in Trout Lake\, WA.  If you are curious\, check out patreon.com/wmds.  Also\, we send out semi-regular emails updating folks on our progress.  If you would like to be on that list just reply to this email.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShane\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHere are some suggestions for attending via zoom:\nMaking a Sacred space:\nIf you are able to do so\, prepare space for yourself to take part in the ritual.  Here are some ideas:\n \n\nBe present to an altar or shrine you already have\, or prepare one.  \nSet out a candle (fire or battery).  \nBurn a bit of incense.  \nMeditate or center yourself in your space.  \nRead something relevant to your path.\nListen to some calming music and do a bit of dance\, or movement of your body.\n\nThe actual thing you do is not the most important part here.  Preparing your mind to do the practice of ritual\, with intention and focus\, is the underlying goal.  Engaging as many of your senses (seeing\, hearing\, smelling\, feeling\, tasting) as possible can help with this. \nSinging:\nEveryone will be muted during the ritual.  Sadly\, Zoom does not allow us to all sing together so we’ll each need to sing muted.  I’ve attached the song sheet to this email. \nOfferings:\nDuring the personal offering time\, we will pause for about 3 minutes so that each of us can make our offerings in our own bit of the sacred space that we create.  If you have a thing you wish to offer\, be prepared to put it out of use by human hands after the ritual.\n \n\nFor food items\, this could be placing it out for the nature spirits to consume.  \nIf you wish to burn a thing and have means to have a fire\, you could do that.  \nIf it is not a thing to be burned\, like a stone\, a bit of metal etc.\, you could place it outside your home in a space you make sacred for the Kindred and/or we can take it to White Mountain Druid Sanctuary* which has dedicated spaces for these types of offerings.\nLiquid offerings can be given into the hands of Cloacina\, Roman goddess of drains and sewers.  \n\nWaters of life:\nCome to ritual with a glass of something to use for the Waters of Life.  During the ritual\, we will imbue these waters with magic\, bless them and then drink them.  Waters of life are typically water\, cider (hard or not)\, meade etc.  Have a glass of something available as we drink together of these waters that we make sacred.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShane Coineandubh (they/them) \nSenior Druid\, Cascadia Grove\, ADF\nI acknowledge that we are on the unceded ancestral lands of people that are still here\, continuing to honor and bring to light their ancient heritage.\n\nOur deities are visitors here and we call on them knowing that we are guests and to act accordingly.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTLA and Portal Song Sheet b
